Ancient Comics (1989-1990)

Ancient Comics (1989-1990)
"The Doggy Bag" was a comic strip I did daily (I can't believe I ever did anything on a daily basis) for the Kentucky Kernel Newspaper at the University of Kentucky almost 30 years ago.
Here's the first two.

Ancient Comics

I recently came across the volumes collecting the newspaper strips I did for my college newspaper back in the early 1990s. Years worth of stuff. I'll start scanning the better stuff and share it with you in the coming weeks.

These two pieces are old drawings I had sitting around in sketchbooks. I decided to clean them up and color them.

She can pelt you with sugar blasts of varying densities! She can make sweet beverages even sweeter! She'll give you diabetes!

Captain America for the 4th of July!

This past 4th of July, I joined the local, volunteer marching band as a very low-rent Captain America in the annual 4th of July parade here in town. For the costume, I gathered stuff from around the house and borrowed what I couldn't find.
It was a lot of fun. Kids really dug it. I took photos with a bunch of them.

Harry Dean Stanton Fest t-shirt design

Every year, we have a great Harry Dean Stanton Fest here in Lexington, KY, featuring many of his fine movies. Local lady, Lucy Jones, does a fantastic job putting it on.
This year, I had the opportunity to design the t-shirt for the festival.
